Step 1: Finish the cycle, cool, drain, and unplug

Let the complete wash, sterilize, or dry program end and allow at least the manual's cooling time before opening; the lid, steam, bottles, sump water, and waste tank can be hot. Empty the waste-water tank after the cycle. Turn the washer off and unplug it before removing parts or wiping the base. Never move or tilt a hot machine containing water.

Step 2: Remove racks, center tube, and spray jets in order

Lift off the lid and top rack, then remove the top spray jets, center tube, bottom rack, and bottom spray jets while noting their orientation. The ribs and slots must align during reassembly. Check every rack position and jet for milk solids, paper, labels, or small bottle parts that can block spray or collect water.

Step 3: Hand-wash the approved removable parts

Wash the top cover, bottom rack, top rack, center tube, and spray-jet assemblies in hot or warm soapy water as the manual directs. Rinse thoroughly. Baby Brezza says never to place these machine parts in a dishwasher, microwave, or sterilizer. Avoid solvents, harsh cleaners, and abrasive pads on the plastic because they can damage the appliance surfaces.

Step 4: Clear blocked spray-jet holes

Disassemble the upper and lower spray jets and center tube. Rinse warm soapy water through their passages. Use a toothpick or a small soft brush to loosen material from individual holes, working from the opening without enlarging it. Rinse again and hold each piece toward light to confirm the pattern is open. A cracked spray fixture needs replacement, not adhesive or a larger improvised hole.

Step 5: Clean the intake filter and sump area

Lift the intake filter by its handle and wipe residue from the mesh. Remove loose debris from the sump with a soft damp cloth while the unit is unplugged. Do not pour routine soap into the sump or clean the base under a faucet. If standing water must be discharged before cleaning, use the manual's button procedure while the machine is assembled, then unplug again.

Step 6: Wash and dry both water tanks

Remove the clean-water and waste-water tanks. Carefully empty the waste tank after it has cooled, rinse it, and let it dry. Wipe the clean-water tank and its seating area without wetting the base contacts or openings. Reinstall each tank fully; a tank that is not seated can trigger a warning or prevent a cycle from starting.

Step 7: Wipe the powered base and control panel

Use only a soft damp cloth on the base and control panel. Do not immerse the base or power cord, place the base under running water, or let cleaner pool near seams. Never use solvent, spray cleaner, or an abrasive pad on the plastic base. Dry the exterior before reconnecting power.

Step 8: Descale the stainless heating plate

For the BRZ0103 instructions, place either two bottles of Baby Brezza Descaler or a mixture of 1 cup distilled white vinegar and 1 cup water in the sump. Let the mixture sit overnight. Do not add a detergent tablet and do not run a heated cycle with that solution unless the current exact-model manual directs it. Keep the machine stable and inaccessible during the soak.

Step 9: Rinse the descaling solution through a Wash Only cycle

After the soak, fill the clean-water tank to its FILL line with distilled water. Assemble the required spray components and run one Wash Only cycle to rinse the system, then discard the waste water after it cools. The manual permits gentle scrubbing of remaining mineral scale on the stainless heating plate with a scouring pad; keep that pad off plastic surfaces.

Step 10: Replace the HEPA filter and reassemble

Baby Brezza recommends replacing the HEPA filter every three months. Drain and unplug first because residual sump water may spill when the unit is placed on its side. Release the bottom filter cover, pull the old filter by its tab, install the compatible new filter with its tab facing up, and latch the cover. Reassemble the intake filter, bottom jets, racks, center tube, top jets, and lid in the manual's order.

Step 11: Reset the reminder and verify spray performance

After descaling, press and hold Wash Mode for five seconds to clear the BRZ0103 descaling reminder. On the next normal load, use one Baby Brezza detergent tablet—never a household dishwasher pod, powder, or liquid detergent. Confirm that fittings are secure, items do not block jets, foam is normal, and water drains to the waste tank without leaking.
