Step 1: Stop, unplug, and allow the machine to cool
Stop the cycle, wait for all blade movement to finish, unplug the appliance, and let hot water and parts cool before handling. Remove food and separate the bowl, lid, and blade using the manual's normal releases. Grip the blade by the top of its plastic column, keeping fingers away from its four cutting edges. Do not leave it hidden in cloudy sink water. Clean the machine before first use and after food preparation, and keep children away from the loose blade and small components.
Step 2: Remove the driveshaft before dishwasher cleaning
The bowl is not ready for the dishwasher while its driveshaft remains installed. If using the supplied food pouches and easy-fill funnels, open and wash them too; the manual permits their top-rack washing. Step 4: Drain retained water and wipe the base
Follow the manual's draining illustrations instead of tipping the assembled machine in an arbitrary direction. For the unplugged, cooled steam tank, the diagram shows carefully tilting the machine backward to empty remaining water. Step 5: Descale the steam tank when deposits require it
For this Deluxe model, the manual specifies 1/3 cup white vinegar plus 1/3 cup distilled water in the steam tank, left overnight with the machine unplugged. Measure the amounts instead of borrowing a bottle-washer recipe with a much larger reservoir. Do not add food or run a cooking cycle with the vinegar mixture. The manual advises regular steam-tank cleaning, with frequency depending on mineral buildup and the water used. It also excludes chemical descalers; do not substitute a tablet or cleaner from another Baby Brezza appliance without model-specific confirmation.
Step 6: Empty the solution and perform the rinse cycle
Drain the vinegar solution using the approved backward-tilt method, then refill with purified water. Reassemble the bowl, driveshaft, gasket, and lid correctly before operating the machine, keeping the base exterior and connections dry. Plug in and run the manual's Steam-only cycle for 15 minutes, not Steam + Blend. Afterward, stop, unplug, and allow cooling before draining or handling. Rinse with purified water to remove remaining vinegar, empty leftover water, and use fresh purified water before the next food-preparation cycle.

Allow cleaned parts to dry before storage. Reinsert the driveshaft and its gasket into the bowl and turn the underside knob clockwise to lock the assembly as shown. Place the blade onto the shaft normally; do not force it downward or twist it into a locked position.
