Step-by-step instructions

Step 1: Empty and cool the brewer

Remove the used paper filter and grounds, empty the carafe, and allow the brewer to cool. Switch it off and unplug it before removing or wiping parts. Keep water away from the display, rear connections, and underside. Do not reach into a hot showerhead area immediately after brewing.

Step 2: Wash the correct brew basket

Remove the single-serve or batch basket used for the brew and wash it with warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft brush. Clear every outlet without enlarging it, rinse thoroughly, and dry. Confirm that the selected basket is clean and seated correctly before the next recipe; the two basket geometries are not interchangeable.

Step 3: Clean the carafe and lid

Step 4: Clean the removable water tank
