Step 1: Verify the model's water-cleaning class

Read the model number and current Husqvarna manual. Husqvarna allows running-water cleaning on certain NERA, EPOS, Aspire, or vision models, while its general directions prohibit high-pressure washing and may prohibit running water on other machines and stations. Use the most restrictive method—brush and damp cloth—unless your exact manual clearly says otherwise.

Step 2: Stop, power off, and put on gloves

End the mowing task, remove the mower from its station, and turn the main switch or power control fully off. Wear protective gloves before touching the underside. A paused schedule or app command is not enough protection from sharp free-swinging blades.

Step 3: Turn the mower over safely

Use the handling method in the operator manual and support the mower on a stable mat so the display, camera, body, and lift sensors are not damaged. Keep the machine from rolling. If the model is too heavy to control safely, get help rather than supporting it with one hand while cleaning near the blades.

Step 4: Remove clumps by hand and brush

With gloves on, pull away large chunks of grass. Husqvarna then recommends a dishwashing brush for clippings around the skid plate, cutting disc, wheels, chassis, and body. Brush away from bearings and openings, rotate the skid plate only as the manual permits, and never test blade movement with bare fingers.

Step 5: Inspect blades and moving parts

Check that each blade is present, undamaged, and able to pivot freely, and that the cutting disc and wheels move without packed debris. Do not sharpen tiny pivoting blades in place. If replacement is needed, Husqvarna calls for new blades and new screws as a balanced set, following the exact model procedure.

Step 6: Wipe the chassis and body

Flip loose clippings out, return the mower to a controlled position, and wipe exterior plastic with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Do not use solvents. Use running water only for a model whose manual explicitly allows it, never use a high-pressure washer, and keep the machine powered off until dry.

Step 7: Clean the mower's charging plates

Inspect the metal charging plates for grass, soil, or light oxidation. Wipe dirt away first. Husqvarna permits fine-grade emery cloth when necessary on the contact plates; use light, controlled passes only on the metal contact surface. Do not grind away plating, bridge contacts with metal, or clean while docked.

Step 8: Disconnect and clean the charging station

Disconnect the station's power supply. Remove leaves, twigs, and grass that could obstruct docking, then wipe the surface with a damp cloth and mild soap if needed. Clean its contact plates as above when necessary. Husqvarna's general warning is never to pressure-wash the station; use running water only if the exact station manual expressly permits it.

Step 9: Dry, return upright, and test docking

Remove loose debris, ensure the mower and station are dry, and return the mower upright before switching it on. Start a short test and watch from outside its path. Confirm normal wheel movement, quiet cutting-disc rotation, and reliable docking. Vibration, a cracked blade disc, damaged seals, corroded contacts, or charging faults require service rather than more cleaning.
