Step 1: Turn off the CordZero and remove the battery

Stop the vacuum, take it off the charging stand, and remove the detachable battery before opening the dust bin or powered nozzle. Detach the wand and accessory. Never work around a rotating brush while the battery is installed. Keep the battery, charger, product body, control panel, and electrical contacts away from water and cleaning spray.

Step 2: Empty the dust bin before it is packed

Hold the vacuum over a trash container and operate the dust-bin release. On Kompressor versions, use the compression lever as intended to push debris down for emptying, but do not force a jammed mechanism. Remove clumps around the bin inlet and close the cover securely. Emptying before the MAX line helps prevent fine dust from migrating into the pre-filter and exhaust path.

Step 3: Remove the pre-filter and exhaust filter

Twist the exhaust filter with the LG logo counterclockwise where the model uses that design, then remove the pre-filter below it. Shake loose surface dust into trash. Inspect the pleats, rubber edges, and locating tabs. Do not scrape the media or pull on a gasket. Some A9 versions use slightly different filter stacks, so match every release and washing instruction to the model number on the rating label.

Step 4: Access the dust separator and cyclone

Remove the bin or large dust separator only through the user-release sequence. LG support demonstrates using the crevice or combination tool to unlock certain internal separator assemblies. Brush loose dust from the metal mesh and cyclone openings without bending them. Never insert a sharp object deep into the airflow passage or open the motor housing.

Step 5: Wash only approved parts

Rinse the washable pre-filter, exhaust filter, dust bin, and separator only if the exact A9 instructions identify them as washable. Use cool or lukewarm water without detergent, bleach, fragrance, or solvent. Agitate filters gently with clean fingers until runoff clears. Do not put any component in a dishwasher and do not wet the main vacuum body, battery, powered nozzle, or charging stand.

Step 6: Dry for at least 24 hours

Shake off excess water and place washable parts in shade with good airflow for at least 24 hours and until every pleat, seam, and inner passage is dry. Avoid direct sun, dryers, ovens, radiators, and hair dryers. Moisture hidden in the cyclone or filter core can be drawn into the motor, so extend drying time in humid conditions rather than rushing reassembly.

Step 7: Clean the powered nozzle and roller

Turn the detached Universal, Power Drive, or wide LED nozzle over and follow its release method. Remove the rotating brush where user-removable, cut hair along an accessible groove, and pull debris away from both ends. Wipe the nozzle housing with a dry cloth. Do not rinse the powered housing or reinstall the roller if an end bearing remains packed or the release will not lock.

Step 8: Clear the wand and accessory airways

Look through the detached wand and inspect the elbow, bin inlet, combination tool, and nozzle neck. Remove reachable debris with a blunt tool that will not puncture plastic or wiring. Clean metal contacts with a dry cloth. A repeated surge, warning light, or automatic shutdown after cleaning may indicate another obstruction or an incorrectly seated filter.

Step 9: Reassemble in the correct order

Install the fully dry separator and bin, then seat the pre-filter and twist the exhaust filter until aligned and secure. Lock the brush roller and reconnect the wand and battery. Run a short low-power test. Stop if the vacuum sounds restricted, the bin leaks dust, or the nozzle does not rotate, and recheck each seal and release before using higher power.
