How to Clean an Our Place Always Pan
Always Pan is now a product family, not one universal surface. Original and current ceramic-nonstick versions need gentle hand washing, while the uncoated Titanium Always Pan Pro has a stainless interior with raised nonstick micro-dots and is dishwasher safe. Mixing those instructions can either scratch ceramic coating or leave residue packed around the Titanium Pro texture. Our Place's ceramic-care guidance says to let the pan cool, hand-wash with warm soapy water and a soft sponge, and avoid steel wool and abrasives. For stubborn residue it recommends soaking or controlled baking-soda methods. Identify the exact model before choosing a deep-clean route.

Step-by-step instructions
Step 1: Identify ceramic coating or Titanium Pro
Check the order record, underside marking, current product page, and appearance. A smooth coated interior follows ceramic-nonstick care. Titanium Always Pan Pro has a stainless interior with a visible micro-dot texture and different deep-clean instructions. Do not decide from color or pan shape alone, and do not use the Pro's bristle-scrub or seasoning routine on a ceramic-coated pan.
Step 2: Cool the pan completely
Move the pan off heat, remove the lid and nesting accessories, and let everything cool at room temperature. Our Place cautions against adding cold water to a hot ceramic pan because thermal shock can affect the pan and coating. Never carry a hot pan to the sink, immerse a hot lid, or test temperature by touching the cooking surface.
Step 3: Perform the everyday wash
For ceramic Always Pans, hand-wash with warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft sponge. Clean the interior, exterior, handle junction, pour spouts, lid, and compatible accessories separately. Use only low pressure. The Titanium Pro can be dishwasher safe, but hand washing gives you control over trapped food and protects the exterior finish; confirm its current care page.
Step 4: Loosen stuck food before scrubbing
Soak a cooled ceramic pan in warm soapy water for 15 to 30 minutes, following Our Place's guidance, then lift softened residue with a soft sponge or silicone or wood tool. Do not attack the spot with steel wool, a metal scraper, abrasive powder, oven cleaner, or a melamine pad. Repeat a gentle soak rather than wearing through coating.
Step 5: Deep-clean a ceramic Always Pan
For cooked-on oil, Our Place recommends controlled baking-soda methods, such as deglazing with water and a few tablespoons of baking soda, then cooling before gently wiping. Its ceramic guidance also uses a baking-soda and vinegar paste on exterior stains. Follow the exact recipe, ventilate, rinse completely, and never boil a pan dry or combine cleaners.
Step 6: Clean a Titanium Always Pan Pro separately
Use a bristle brush to work between the Pro's stainless micro-dots, where residue can impair release. Our Place's Pro instructions permit a specified boil with water, baking soda, and vinegar for deeper cleaning, followed by rinsing, drying, and a thin oil treatment. Use only that model's current quantities and time; the method is not for smooth ceramic coating.
Step 7: Clean the exterior, lid, and accessories
Use a soft sponge on the exterior to avoid scratching its finish. Wash the lid without thermal shock, clear food around the steam vent gently, and treat a wood spatula according to its own material instructions. Do not immerse components that the manual identifies as non-submersible or leave acidic paste on metal, colored finish, or hardware longer than directed.
Step 8: Dry, inspect, and prevent buildup
Rinse away every trace of soap and baking soda, towel-dry, and air-dry separately before nesting. Use moderate heat, adequate cooking fat, and non-metal utensils on ceramic versions; avoid aerosol cooking spray if the manufacturer warns against it. Retire a ceramic pan with peeling, blistering, exposed substrate, or severe warping. Cleaning cannot restore physically damaged coating.
