Step-by-step instructions
Step 1: Put the system in Sleep mode
End the cleaning job and place the robot on a dry work surface. Samsung directs owners to hold the robot's Start/Stop button for about seven seconds to enter Sleep mode before maintenance. Unplug the Clean Station before cleaning its interior access areas or contacts. Keep water away from the robot body, station housing, sensor openings, charging points, cord, and plug.
Step 2: Empty and wash approved dust components
Remove the robot dustbin, motor filter, and approved internal pieces in the order Samsung shows. Empty debris first, then wash the dustbin and motor filter with clean water. Do not scrub filter media with a hard tool or add detergent. Shake off excess water gently and dry parts fully in shade before reinstalling them; a damp motor filter must never be put back into service.
Step 3: Clean the main brush, spin brush, and wheels
Turn the sleeping robot over on a soft cloth. Remove the main-brush cover and roller, then cut and pull hair from the brush, end caps, and intake. Clear fibers from the spin brush, front roller, and driving wheels while rotating each by hand. Do not add oil, rinse the robot underside, or force a wheel. Empty the dirty-water tank promptly, rinse its interior and lid, and clear its float or seal. Rinse the clean-water tank periodically and fill only to the marked line with the liquid specified by Samsung. Do not swap caps, overfill, or use bleach, vinegar, essential oils, foaming detergent, or hot water in place of approved solution.
Step 8: Service the station dust system
Replace the disposable dust bag when indicated rather than emptying or washing it. Remove loose dust from the station fine-dust filter by the dry method Samsung describes, and clean the base bottom cover or accessible dust path without opening sealed electrical areas. Reinstall every filter and cover before reconnecting power; never run automatic emptying without a dust bag.
Step 9: Descale only with Samsung's method
Samsung's maintenance guidance includes an approximately annual citric-acid cleaning for the water system: about 3.5 ounces of citric acid dissolved in 4 cups of water, a two-hour wait, followed by a clean-water rinse cycle of about 15 minutes. Follow the on-device directions and current manual exactly. Do not substitute another acid, mix chemicals, or perform this treatment more often than instructed.
Step 10: Reassemble and verify a complete cycle
Install only dry robot filters, dustbin, brushes, mop pads, washboard, and station filter components.
