Step-by-step instructions
Step 1: Remove the ring and separate it from the case
Take the Galaxy Ring off your finger and remove it from the charging case. Disconnect the case from its charging cable. Check the ring for cracks, a raised inner sensor, sharp damage or severe discoloration; damaged hardware should be assessed by Samsung rather than submerged. Never wash the charging case with the ring.
Step 2: Start with a dry soft cloth

Dilute a very small amount in water and wipe the affected ring with fingers or a soft cloth. Do not substitute hand soap, dish soap, hand sanitizer, antibacterial spray, insecticide, solvent or abrasive paste. Keep the cleaning short and rinse all detergent film away.
Step 5: Dry every surface thoroughly
Blot the ring with a dry lint-free cloth, especially around the three inner sensor bumps and charging areas. Leave it in open air at room temperature until no moisture or haze remains. Do not use a hair dryer, heater, microwave, direct sun or another external heat source. Do not place a wet ring on your finger or in the closed charging case.
Step 6: Clean the charging case dry
With the case unplugged and empty, wipe its exterior and ring recess with a dry soft cloth. Use a clean dry soft brush or lint-free swab to lift debris from the recess without bending contacts. Samsung troubleshooting guidance calls for a dry cloth on charging contacts. Do not rinse, spray or pour cleaner into the case, hinge, USB-C port or indicator area.
Step 7: Inspect charging contacts before docking
Under good light, verify that the ring and case contact areas are clean, dry and free of cloth fibers. If residue remains, repeat a dry wipe; do not scrape tarnish with metal or an eraser. Place the ring in the case only when it aligns naturally. If the charge indicator does not respond, reseat it and follow Samsung's charging troubleshooting rather than adding liquid.
Step 8: Clean the skin contact area too
Wash and dry your finger before wearing the ring again. Trapped moisture, lotion and cleanser between skin and wearable can cause irritation.
