Step-by-step instructions
Step 1: Unplug and allow the warmer to cool

Do not invent a stronger vinegar, citric-acid or commercial kettle-descaler recipe, and never mix cleaning chemicals. Keep solution inside the intended water chamber and do not operate a cycle unless the instructions explicitly require one. Ventilate the area and prevent children from reaching the solution.
Step 7: Drain, rinse and remove residue
When the specified contact time ends, pour the solution sideways away from the electrical side. Rinse the water chamber exactly as the manual directs, using small controlled amounts rather than submerging the base. Repeat until no descaler odor or loose mineral remains. Wipe the rim and exterior dry and leave the unplugged chamber open to air-dry fully.
Step 8: Inspect before the next warming cycle
Confirm that the cord, plug and housing are dry, the chamber contains no cleaner and the basket is seated correctly. Look for cracking, damaged insulation, corrosion or liquid in an electrical seam; discontinue use if any appears.
