Step-by-step instructions
Step 1: Empty the bag and identify every material
Remove electronics, papers, pens and detachable accessories. Read the care label and identify ballistic nylon, ordinary nylon, leather trim and coated panels. This method targets compatible fabric; do not spread cleaner across leather, hardshell pieces or an unknown decorative finish.
Step 2: Remove dry debris

Step 8: Air-dry away from direct sunlight
Leave pockets and the main compartment open in a shaded, ventilated room. TUMI specifies air-drying away from direct sunlight. Do not use a washing machine, tumble dryer, hair dryer or radiator. Store only after the fabric, lining, seams and padding are dry through their full thickness.
