How to Clean an Aarke Carbonator Pro
The Aarke Carbonator Pro combines a polished outer finish with a protective chamber and pressure mechanism that should not be washed like an ordinary countertop appliance. Aarke says daily exterior care uses a damp but well-wrung cloth, followed by polishing steel, while water in the drip tray should be blotted rather than poured out by tilting the machine. The company says not to clean inside the protective chamber; its rim may be wiped carefully, and the nozzle can be refreshed with one carbonation-button press while no bottle is installed. The Glass Bottle Pro is a separate food-contact part and may be hand-washed or placed in a dishwasher no hotter than 70°C (158°F).

Step-by-step instructions
Step 1: Remove the bottle and identify safe zones
Take the Glass Bottle Pro out, make sure the operating lever or button is released, and keep the Carbonator upright on a stable counter. For deeper exterior care, follow the manual's CO2-cylinder safety directions rather than improvising around a pressurized connection. Separate the washable bottle from the wipe-only body, rim, drip tray, and do-not-clean chamber interior.
Step 2: Wipe ordinary exterior dust and fingerprints
Aarke recommends a damp cloth that is quite dry, not dripping, so water cannot enter the mechanism. Wipe the body with the grain of the finish and use a clean polishing cloth on steel. Never spray the Carbonator, rinse it under a faucet, immerse it, or use kitchen spray, acid, powder, polishing liquid, or another aggressive cleaner that can mark the finish.
Step 3: Spot-clean exterior stains conservatively
For a small exterior stain, Aarke permits a wet kitchen cloth with mild soap, but notes that a wet cloth should not be used generally on the machine. Apply the moisture only to the spot, wipe away soap with a separate nearly dry cloth, and dry immediately. Do not scrub printed marks, seams, controls, or the gas-cylinder area.
Step 4: Blot the drip tray without tipping
Use paper towel to absorb residual water from the drip tray. Aarke specifically warns not to lean or turn the Carbonator over to pour water out because it can enter and become trapped in the mechanism. Repeat with dry towel until the recess is dry. Treat recurring overflow as a use or service issue rather than flushing the tray with more water.
Step 5: Leave the protective chamber interior alone
Do not wipe, rinse, spray, or insert a brush inside the protective chamber. Aarke says sensitive mechanisms are located there and, because the product is for water carbonation only, the chamber should not become dirty. If contamination, broken glass, syrup, or another beverage enters the chamber, stop using the unit and contact Aarke instead of dismantling it.
Step 6: Refresh the rim and nozzle only as directed
Carefully wipe the accessible chamber rim with a damp cloth while keeping water out of the mechanism. Aarke says the nozzle can be refreshed by pressing the carbonation button once with no bottle present; the air pressure pushes out residual water drops. Do not touch, bend, pick, soak, or run a cleaning chemical through the nozzle.
Step 7: Wash the Glass Bottle Pro separately
For hand washing, fill the bottle about halfway with warm water and a few drops of dish liquid, close and shake carefully, then rinse several times and dry with the cap off. Avoid hard, sharp, or metal bristles. Aarke also permits the Glass Bottle Pro in a dishwasher at no more than 70°C (158°F); select the machine's safe glassware setting.
Step 8: Inspect before carbonation
Let the rim, tray, and bottle dry completely. Inspect the bottle and cap for cracks, chips, deep scratches, or damaged threads and use only the compatible Glass Bottle Pro. Confirm the chamber and mechanism are free of introduced liquid before operation. Never carbonate anything except plain water, and stop for leaks, sticking controls, damaged glass, abnormal pressure release, or contamination inside the chamber.
