A cast-iron table saw top is a working reference surface, not a countertop to wash with a bucket of soapy water. On Grizzly G0690/G0691 saws, routine cleaning removes wood dust and resin before applying a compatible non-staining protectant. It should not alter the tabletop, miter slots, or alignment. Allow the product’s specified working time, then remove softened residue with a clean cloth. Keep it away from ignition sources. Do not vacuum flammable liquid or solvent-soaked debris with an ordinary dust vacuum, and do not substitute gasoline or an unknown workshop solvent.

Step 5: Clean grooves and apply the specified protection

Should I remove the tabletop to clean underneath?

What protectant should I use?
