How to Clean a Guava Lotus Travel Crib

Step-by-step instructions
Step 1: Empty, unfold and document the crib
Remove the child, sheet, toys and mattress and fully open the Lotus on a clean floor. Photograph each foot, fabric corner, zipper orientation and attachment before disassembly. Step 2: Remove loose dirt while dry
Vacuum crumbs, sand and lint from mesh edges, the door zipper, mattress surface and travel bag. Brush debris from the feet and frame joints without opening structural mechanisms. Starting dry keeps grit out of the washer and prevents it from scratching tubes or lodging deeper in the zipper.
Step 3: Remove all feet in Guava's order
Follow Guava's illustrated sequence to release every crib foot and free the fabric body. Do not pull the cover against an attached foot or force mesh over a corner. Keep parts together in their orientation and inspect for bent hardware, damaged locks, torn mesh or separated seams while exposed.
Step 4: Machine-wash the fabric cold and gentle
Close the side zipper, remove loose accessories and wash the crib fabric in cold water on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Wash it alone or with soft items. Avoid bleach, fabric softener, abrasive stain treatment and hot water, all of which can stress mesh, color or bound seams.
Step 5: Clean mattress and frame separately
Wipe the mattress surface according to its label with a cloth lightly dampened in warm mild-soap solution, then lift residue with a plain damp cloth. Wipe frame tubes and feet without flooding hinges. Do not machine-wash the mattress, immerse the frame or add padding not supplied and approved by Guava.
Step 6: Drip-dry the fabric
Guava's dedicated wash guide says to drip-dry the fabric and not tumble-dry it. Support the body across a broad line or rack so wet mesh is not hanging from one seam. Open the zipper and turn the cover during drying, away from a heater, until binding and reinforced corners are dry through.
Step 7: Refit the cover and all feet
Use your photographs and Guava's instructions to orient the door and pull the dry cover over the frame without twisting it. Reattach every foot fully and check that fabric is not pinched in a lock. Install only the original, dry mattress in its designated position and secure it as directed.
Step 8: Perform a complete setup check
Push down and test the open frame locks, inspect each foot for full seating and open and close the side zipper. The mattress must lie flat with no added gap, pad or aftermarket insert. Do not place a child inside if mesh, zipper, foot, frame lock or mattress attachment is damaged.
