How to Clean the Lovevery Play Gym
The Lovevery Play Gym is a mixed-material system rather than one washable toy. Lovevery permits a cold delicate machine wash and air-drying for the Activity Mat, organic cotton teether and Sound Squares, while the Play Space Cover and High Contrast Ball may be tumble-dried low. Other accessories and the wooden frame are wiped with a damp cloth. The mat also has enclosed squeakers that must be pressed several times during drying to expel water, and three hook-and-loop corner tabs that should be closed before laundering. This guide uses those component rules so that an easy-care fabric part does not accidentally make wood, cards or sound-making pieces candidates for the same cycle.

Step-by-step instructions
Step 1: Dismantle and sort by component
Remove the Activity Mat from the wooden frame and detach cards, links, batting ring, teether, Sound Squares, High Contrast Ball and Play Space Cover. Keep paper cards and wood away from the laundry area. Sort items into cold-wash/air-dry, cold-wash/low-dry and damp-wipe groups using Lovevery's list rather than appearance alone.
Step 2: Prepare the Activity Mat
Brush away crumbs and close the hook-and-loop loops at all three corners before washing so they do not snag the mat or another textile. Remove accessories that are not sewn in. Blot a heavy fresh spill first, but do not use sanitizer, bleach or a strong stain treatment; Lovevery does not recommend sanitizer for Play Gym parts.
Step 3: Machine-wash the air-dry group
Wash the Activity Mat, organic cotton teether and Sound Squares on a cold delicate cycle with mild detergent. Place small compatible pieces in a mesh bag so they stay together. Use no bleach or fabric softener unless a current sewn label expressly allows it. Keep towels, hook-covered items and heavily soiled adult laundry out of the cycle.
Step 4: Expel water from enclosed squeakers
As the Activity Mat dries, press each enclosed squeaker several times, as Lovevery instructs, to push out water that remains inside its chamber. Blot the area and repeat later in the drying period. Do not puncture, open or heat a squeaker. Continue air-drying until pressing it produces no moisture and the surrounding padding feels dry throughout.
Step 5: Wash the low-dry-approved pieces separately
The Play Space Cover and High Contrast Ball can be machine-washed cold on delicate and tumble-dried low according to Lovevery. Use a gentle load and remove them promptly so seams keep their shape. The permission does not extend to the Activity Mat, Sound Squares, wood or every accessory. Air-dry instead whenever the current label is more restrictive.
Step 6: Damp-wipe the wooden frame
Use a soft barely damp cloth on the wooden legs and crossbar, applying as little moisture as possible. Wipe immediately with a dry towel and allow airflow around joints. Do not submerge wood, steam it or soak a mark with sanitizer. Inspect the finish, fasteners and attachment points; a splinter, crack or loose connection needs manufacturer attention.
Step 7: Wipe the remaining accessories
Clean the other non-launderable parts with a damp cloth, protecting paper cards and any material that should remain dry. Use a clean edge of the cloth as soil lifts and follow with a plain-water wipe if detergent was used. Dry every crevice, link and attachment surface before reconnecting pieces, and replace a damaged teether rather than aggressively disinfecting it.
Step 8: Reassemble after a full dryness check
Confirm the mat's squeakers, padded seams and corner loops are dry, then refit the mat to the clean dry frame exactly as Lovevery shows. Attach only dry intact accessories at their intended points. Set the gym on a stable surface and gently test every connection before use. Trapped moisture, loose hardware or cleaner residue should be resolved before a child returns.
