How to Clean a Ninja Combi Multicooker Thoroughly
The Ninja Combi SFP700-series combines a top heating system, fan, wide door, removable Combi Pan and crisper tray, so cleaning it like a sink-safe pot can send water into the electrical base. Ninja's official care instructions keep the main unit out of water, permit dishwasher cleaning for designated accessories and provide a steam-clean routine: add three cups of water to the Combi Pan, move the SmartSwitch to Combi Cooker and run STEAM for 10 minutes. That cycle loosens residue; it does not replace wiping, rinsing and drying. This guide covers SFP700-family appliances such as SFP701. Exact accessory coatings and dishwasher permissions should be checked against the owner guide for your model, especially if a replacement or regional accessory differs.

Step-by-step instructions
Step 1: Cool, unplug and remove food
End the cooking program, unplug the unit and leave the door open until every surface is cool. Remove food, pan and tray with appropriate protection while they are still warm only if safe, but do not add cold water to hot cookware or touch the heating elements.
Step 2: Separate the removable parts
Take out the Combi Pan, bake tray or crisper plate and any rack supplied with the exact model. Note how each part sits. Empty grease and crumbs into the trash rather than the sink and never scrape a nonstick coating with metal.
Step 3: Wash accessories by their approved route
Ninja states that the included accessories for supported SFP700 models are dishwasher safe. A soft sponge, mild soap and warm water are gentler for routine care. Use the dishwasher only for parts named in the exact guide; never put the appliance base, cord or control assembly in it.
Step 4: Soak stuck food without abrasion
Fill only the removable pan with warm soapy water and allow baked residue to soften. Use a nylon brush or nonabrasive sponge, then rinse. Avoid steel wool, oven cleaner and sharp scrapers, which can damage the nonstick surface.
Step 5: Run the official steam-clean cycle
For the interior, place the clean Combi Pan in position with three cups of water. Move the SmartSwitch to Combi Cooker, select STEAM for 10 minutes and start, following Ninja's SFP700 care instructions. Keep the door closed during the hot cycle and supervise the appliance.
Step 6: Cool again before wiping
When the cycle ends, switch off, unplug and wait for steam and surfaces to cool. Open the door carefully away from your face. Remove the pan without spilling hot water and discard it after it is safe to handle.
Step 7: Wipe the cooking cavity
Use a soft damp cloth to lift loosened grease from the walls, door frame and accessible surfaces. Put water on the cloth rather than inside the unit. Do not press against the fan, probe, heating elements or electrical openings, and do not pour rinse water into the cavity.
Step 8: Clean the door and glass
Support the open door and wipe both accessible sides with a well-wrung soft cloth and mild soap where permitted. Clean around the edge without saturating hinges or seams. Never use an abrasive pad, razor blade or commercial oven cleaner on the glass or finish.
Step 9: Wipe the exterior and controls
Use a damp cloth on the cool exterior and SmartSwitch, then dry it. Brush crumbs away from vents with a dry soft brush. Do not spray the display, immerse the cord or let the countertop puddle under the appliance.
Step 10: Dry, reassemble and check
Dry all accessories and let the cavity air with the door open before reassembly. Confirm that the pan and crisper plate sit flat and that no cloth fibers remain near heat or airflow parts. If smoke or burning odor persists after residue is removed, stop use and contact Ninja support.
