Step 1: Stop the juicer and disconnect power

Turn the machine off, allow movement to stop, and unplug it before dismantling the drum. Empty the juice and pulp containers so there is room to work without spilling them into the motor housing. Keep the power cord and base outside the washing area. Do not run water through an assembled, operating machine as a substitute for cleaning. If the drum is jammed, use the model's troubleshooting instructions rather than putting a hand or brush into a powered feed chute.

Step 2: Separate the horizontal drum assembly

Release and remove the drum assembly as shown in the manual, then separate the adjustable end cap, juicing screen, and auger. Remove the hopper and other washable accessories used during the session. Lay the pieces out in order if reassembly is unfamiliar. The blank cone used for other processing tasks is not the fine juicing screen: inspect and wash whichever accessory actually contacted food. Avoid forcing a locked assembly or using the motor body's weight to wrench a stuck plastic part loose.

Step 3: Wash promptly before fibers harden

Omega recommends cleaning after each use with warm water and liquid dish soap. Rinse away loose pulp and wash every side of the auger, drum, cap, and containers, not just the surfaces visible when the juicer is assembled. Fresh fibers usually release more easily than dried deposits. Use a soft cloth or brush on corners and the pulp outlet. Keep leftover scraps out of sink openings where possible, and do not mistake a quick rinse of the drum for a wash of the separate food-contact pieces.

Step 4: Give the juicing screen its own inspection

Hold the screen against a light background and brush its surfaces gently with the supplied cleaning brush. Check the fine openings and the junctions where pulp collects, turning the part as you work. Re-rinse after brushing so loosened fibers leave the screen instead of shifting to another section. Do not enlarge an opening with a pin or try to scrape the mesh clean with a knife. A damaged or distorted screen is a replacement issue, not something additional detergent can correct.

Step 5: Use the current dishwasher allowance carefully

The current linked manual permits removable parts on the dishwasher's top rack with no heat-dry cycle. That is not permission to wash the motor base or use a high-heat drying shortcut. Check your exact model and manual revision, secure small pieces, and leave adequate spray access. If you cannot disable heated drying or safely support an accessory, hand wash it. Inspect the screen afterward either way: a dishwasher cycle does not automatically remove every strand lodged in a fine opening.

Step 6: Separate routine washing from mineral-deposit treatment

If ordinary washing leaves a chalky film rather than pulp, consult the manual's separate deep-cleaning section. It describes a specific long soak and detergent type, which should not be improvised with an unidentified cleaner. Everyday hand dish soap and automatic-dishwasher detergent are not interchangeable recipes. Verify the proposed product and part compatibility with Omega if the instructions or available detergent are unclear. Do not mix cleaners, use boiling water, or turn a persistent stain into a reason to expose the electrical base to a soaking solution.

Step 7: Dry the parts and rebuild the correct juicing configuration

Rinse hand-washed pieces thoroughly, let all removable parts dry, and wipe the unplugged exterior with a restrained soft-cloth method that does not admit water to the motor housing. Reinstall the auger, screen, end cap, and drum according to the juicing assembly diagram rather than accidentally fitting the blank processing setup. Check that components seat normally without force. Store clean accessories dry and inspect them before the next use; unexplained poor output can involve assembly or worn parts as well as a blocked screen.
