Step-by-step instructions

Step 1: Stop treatment and separate the kit from the air tube

Step 3: Handle the baffle without brushes or pointed tools

The baffle is essential to the kit's operation and needs cleaning after each use, but OMRON specifically excludes a brush or pin for cleaning these parts. Rinse and handle it gently without changing its openings or geometry. Do not regard a missing baffle as an optional piece because the compressor still makes noise. If a part is damaged, obtain the correct authorized replacement. A blocked or incorrectly assembled kit can impair nebulization, and forceful probing is not an appropriate way to restore performance.

Step 4: Disinfect after the last treatment of the day

The linked US manual gives two daily disinfection paths. One uses a compatible commercially available disinfectant with the product's specified soaking period, followed by clean hot-tap-water rinsing and air-drying. The other boils the permitted kit parts for 15–20 minutes in plenty of water. Do not boil the air tube, air filter, filter cover, or optional masks. Keep the baffle with only the applicable nebulizer accessories, not unrelated household objects. Confirm your exact accessories before choosing a method; do not borrow a different model's shorter boiling time.

Step 5: Clear tube moisture without washing the compressor

If condensation remains in the air tube, leave it connected to the compressor but disconnected from the nebulizer kit. OMRON directs running the compressor to push the moisture out, then turning it off and disconnecting the tube and adapter. Do not intentionally wash the tube or draw cleaning fluid through it. Respect the device's operating limit of 20 minutes followed by a 40-minute interval; this is not a reason to run it indefinitely. With power disconnected, wipe the compressor casing using a soft cloth moistened with water or mild detergent, then dry it immediately.

Step 6: Replace the air filter instead of rinsing it

Inspect the air filter separately. The manual calls for replacement after an average of more than 60 days of use, if its color changes, or immediately if water or medication spills onto it. Do not wash the filter, substitute cotton, or operate without it. The removable filter cover may be washed regularly, but must not be boiled and must be dry before fitting the new correct OMRON filter. Reattach the cover properly so its opening is not obstructed.

Step 7: Dry fully, reassemble correctly, and store clean

Hand-dry or air-dry the washed components in a clean environment with a soft lint-free cloth where appropriate. Do not use a microwave, dish dryer, or hair dryer.
