How to Clean a Tesla Touchscreen Safely

Step-by-step instructions

Step 5: Avoid Tesla's prohibited products

Do not use glass cleaner, household cleaner, hand sanitizer or another alcohol gel, wet wipes or a dry statically charged cloth. Recently machine-washed microfiber can carry static or detergent residue, so use a clean dedicated display cloth. Never spray any liquid directly onto the screen where it can run into the bezel.

Step 6: Handle a stubborn mark conservatively

First hold the clean dry cloth lightly over the mark, then make repeated broad passes. If the exact current manual permits a lightly dampened cloth, apply a tiny amount of clean water to the cloth away from the car, wring it nearly dry and keep moisture from edges. Do not improvise with solvent, vinegar or abrasive melamine foam.

Step 7: Buff away streaks
