How to Clean a eufy X10 Pro Omni Robot Vacuum
The eufy X10 Pro Omni vacuums, mops, empties dust, washes pads, and dries them, but automation does not eliminate maintenance. Step-by-step instructions
Step 1: Shut down and separate the systems
End the job, switch the robot off, remove it from the Omni Station, unplug the station, and place both on a dry floor. Remove the mop pads before turning the robot over. Keep water away from the robot shell, cameras, laser unit, charging pins, station contacts, dust-collection inlet, power cord, and fan openings.
Step 2: Empty the dust box every week
Lift the robot cover, remove the dust box, open it over a trash container, and tap out debris. Check the inlet and screen for compressed lint. eufy schedules the dust box weekly, but homes with pets or fine powder may need it after each run. Do not strike the latch or use a sharp object against the mesh.
Step 3: Rinse the dust box and washable filter
Remove the filter, tap off loose dust, and rinse the filter and dust box thoroughly with clean water as eufy's manual permits. Use gentle finger pressure rather than a stiff brush on the filter pleats. Shake away excess water, then leave both components in moving air until completely dry. Never reinstall a damp filter, which can restrict airflow and carry moisture toward the motor.
Step 4: Remove and clean the rolling brush
Release the brush guard, lift out the rolling brush, and remove hair with the cleaning tool or blunt scissors. Inspect both ends and their receiving slots, where hidden fibers can create noise. Rinse the rolling brush and removable guard with water, then air-dry them completely. Insert the fixed protruding end first and lock the guard flat.
Step 5: Clean the side brush and swivel wheel
Remove the side-brush screw if hair is wound tightly beneath the hub. Pull away fibers, rinse the detached brush, and dry it fully before tightening it without over-torquing. Rotate the front swivel wheel and tease out thread from its axle with a dry tool. Wipe—not soak—the wheel cavity. eufy places side-brush and wheel care on a monthly schedule.
Step 6: Wash and inspect both mop pads
Peel the mop pads from their holders, rinse until the water clears, press out water without twisting the backing, and air-dry. Remove hair from the holders while keeping their drive connections dry. Replace pads about every three to six months, or sooner when the pile is compressed, edges curl, odor remains after washing, or cleaning becomes streaky.
Step 7: Empty and rinse the dirty-water tank
Carry the tank upright, empty it when full, and rinse the tank, lid, and accessible float area with clean water. Do not leave wastewater sealed during storage. Rinse the clean-water tank when film appears and refill only to the marked level. If solution is used, choose eufy's compatible low-foam hard-floor formula and follow the exact dosage; soap, bleach, vinegar, and essential oils can foam or damage the system.
Step 8: Clean the station's removable tray
With the station unplugged, remove its documented wash tray or cleaning base, discard grit, rinse the removable piece, and wipe the recess with a damp cloth that cannot drip. Clear drainage openings with a soft brush, not wire. Dry the surrounding area and reinstall the tray level so pad washing and wastewater pickup are not obstructed.
Step 9: Wipe sensors, cameras, and charging pins
Use a clean dry microfiber cloth on the robot's obstacle-avoidance cameras, laser and cliff-sensor windows, wall sensor, charging pins, and station contacts. Do not spray glass cleaner onto the robot. Monthly cleaning prevents a dull film from causing navigation, cliff, or charging errors without risking scratches from paper towels or abrasives.
Step 10: Reassemble and update maintenance records
Fit only completely dry parts: filter into dust box, rolling brush and locked guard, side brush, dry pads, tanks, and station tray. Plug in the station, power on the robot, and use the eufy Clean app to confirm status. Run a short supervised cycle and reset a consumable counter only when that item was actually cleaned or replaced. eufy suggests filters and mop pads every three to six months and the rolling brush about every six months, adjusted for wear.
